EMPA Fellowship Application
We’re looking for motivated physician assistants who want to grow into skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate emergency medicine providers able to operate with autonomy in rural and urban emergency departments. If that’s you, apply today.
How to apply
Applications open October 1 and close on January 1. Our cohorts begin August 1 and run for 18 months.
Application requirements
You’re eligible to apply if, at the start of your fellowship, you hold a degree from an accredited physician assistant program and certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. After you apply through our form, email these documents to [email protected]:
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
- Official transcripts from your physician assistant school
- 3 letters of recommendation:
- One from the program director, if you’re in school
- One from a colleague, if you’re working
- Ideally one from an emergency physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner
Policies
We don’t offer advanced placement based on previous post-graduate coursework or program participation. The EMPA Fellowship confers certification of completion. It does not award academic credits.
