Cost Estimates
At Gundersen we're committed to doing what we can to reduce the cost of healthcare, and we're working hard to provide information that can help you better understand our charges. We also recognize that more of your healthcare costs are now coming directly out of your own pocket, and it's understandable you'd want to know the price of a procedure or treatment in advance. Here are some options that may help.
What are my out-of-pocket costs?
The best way to determine your out-of-pocket costs is to contact your insurance company (their contact information is on your insurance card). They can sort through benefits, deductibles, co-pays and other information to determine what you'll need to pay.
Can I get an estimate of my care?
Gundersen has a user-friendly tool that can estimate your out-of-pocket costs for several common procedures, plus imaging and lab. The tool is part of MyChart, our free, online patient portal. Learn more about how you can sign up for MyChart, or you can use the estimate tool as a guest.
Gundersen has an Estimates team that can help you if your procedure isn't one of those listed on the online estimator tool and you're getting care in La Crosse, Onalaska, or any of our locations not associated with one of our regional center hospitals (Boscobel, Moundview, Hillsboro, Whitehall, Wis. areas or West Union, Iowa). You can connect with our Estimates team at (608) 775-8660 or email us. If you get your care at a regional hospital or one of their clinics, you can find contact information here. You can also view our patient estimate policy.
