Gundersen’s head and neck cancer specialists treat cancer of the mouth, throat, thyroid and other areas of the head and neck. Our multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists and other head and neck cancer specialists are here to support you with answers and individualized, advanced treatment close to home. For many patients, surgery is the best treatment and you have minimally invasive and robotic options. Gundersen offers a full spectrum of complex reconstructive surgery after your head and neck cancer treatment – and we’re the only hospital in the Western Wisconsin that does. 

Symptoms

It’s important you visit us soon if you’re experiencing persistent or worsening head and neck cancer symptoms, including:

  • Lump in your neck or cheek for > 2 weeks
  • Mouth/tongue sore for > 2 weeks
  • Hoarseness in your voice for > 4 weeks            
  • Sore throat for > 4 weeks
