Why choose Gundersen for LASIK?
Long-standing experience
Our eye surgeons have performed vision correction surgery for thousands (yes, thousands) of patients since 1984. They are among the area’s most trusted LASIK experts.
State-of-the-art technology
You won’t find a more precise laser vision correction system than our Alcon Wavelight® Refraction Suite. This advanced technology offers the shortest treatment times anywhere—minimizing fatigue and anxiety—while using scans of your eyes’ unique characteristics.
Outstanding results
At one month post-procedure, 100% of our patients see 20/30 vision or better without glasses. 99% see 20/25 or better. 90% see 20/20 or better. Less than 3% of eyes need minor laser adjustments to achieve this vision.
Schedule your free LASIK consultation
Before you have LASIK at Gundersen, you'll need an evaluation. We’ll perform a complete eye exam and tests to see if you're a good candidate. This is provided at no cost or obligation.
How much does LASIK cost?
Prices for LASIK at Gundersen are very competitive. Others may appear to have lower costs, but may add extra charges for the evaluation, tests, follow-up visits and enhancements, or use less sophisticated technology. This impacts your eyesight—not the time to skimp on quality.
Our all-inclusive fee includes:
- Evaluation and tests
- LASIK eye surgery
- Prescription eye drops
- All follow-up visits related to your procedure for up to one year
- Any enhancements needed, up to one year, after your procedure
We'll discuss prices and interest-free financing options under $90 per month at your free LASIK evaluation, or feel free to call us for our current pricing.
Other vision enhancement techniques
Clear Lens Extraction (CLE)
During CLE, the natural lens of the eye is replaced with an implant. The new lens permanently corrects any optical errors, offering you a full range of near and far vision without the need for glasses.
Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL)
If you’re highly nearsighted or have very thin corneas, ICLs may be an option. A tiny, flexible artificial lens is implanted between the eye's iris and natural lens. It helps your eye’s own lens work better. ICLs can be removed or replaced, if needed.
Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)
Like LASIK, PRK uses a laser to reshape the cornea. However, instead of being performed under a flap, PRK is done on the surface of the cornea. PRK is less common because of the longer healing process. It's generally performed when surface disease of the cornea makes LASIK not heal as well.
