Gundersen Health System is excited to formally announce its plans to build a new clinic in Tomah. The two-story, 77,000-square-foot facility will be adjacent to the new Tomah Memorial Hospital that will be built along Gopher Avenue near Interstate 90 on Tomah's south side.
"Construction of the new clinic strengthens our commitment to the health and well-being for residents of Tomah and the surrounding area and to provide high-quality healthcare close to home," says Scott Rathgaber, MD, Gundersen chief executive officer. "We have had a great working relationship with Tomah Memorial Hospital for many years and are pleased to have the opportunity to enhance that relationship by building our new home next to their new home."
The new Gundersen Tomah Clinic will allow patients to receive services at one location. Currently, Gundersen's Behavioral Health Clinic and renal dialysis are off campus at separate locations.
Patients will have access to a variety of services including Dental, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Imaging, Lab, OB/GYN, Oncology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Vision and several other specialty services.
There will also be a Gundersen Pharmacy inside the clinic with drive-thru service.
"Besides the clinic building, our new campus will include walking trails and gardens," explains Jill McMullen, MD, medical director at Gundersen Tomah Clinic. "We invite the whole community to shift perspective towards well-being and healing instead of sickness."
Gundersen's current clinic in Tomah at 1330 North Superior Ave. was built in 1995 and is approximately 25,000 square feet. Construction of the new clinic is scheduled to begin in late spring of 2018 with completion in the summer of 2019.
