Stop the Bleed

Would you be able to help someone losing blood in a bleeding emergency? With the proper training, you could be prepared to save their life. Someone severely bleeding can die from blood loss in less than five minutes. That’s less time than it takes the best-trained emergency responders to arrive at the scene. Emplify Health by Gundersen is offering you the opportunity to prepare yourself for a bleeding emergency. During a free one-hour course, you will develop the necessary skills to control bleeding using tourniquets and wound packing. This training is open to the community. Previous medical training is not required to attend. Training sessions are held in the Lower Level of the Integrated Center for Education on the La Crosse campus.
