We are hiring for a Clinical Data Registrar, Senior to support our health information management team.

You will be responsible for abstracting and entering cancer related data into the registry system, ensuring accuracy and adhering to regulatory and confidentiality standards.

What's Available:

  • Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)
  • Monday-Friday core business hours
  • Remote work options for residents in WI, MN, or IA only, with occasional need to work onsite based on business needs.

An Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or a related field or equivalent years of experience and education
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) required upon hire
  • Knowledge of cancer registry standards and guidelines
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description:

Manages cancer patient databases, recording information that may be used to help detect cancer earlier, improve treatments and increase survival rates.   Ensures data collection efforts meet the American College of Surgeons and the Commission on Cancer Accreditation Program Standards for the Cancer Center including the availability, integrity and accuracy of the data.   Provides data support by performing medical record reviews and data entry, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, databases and data collection forms, compiling results into report and graphical presentations and performing data verification, validation and reporting to the required external reporting agencies

Major Responsibilities:

1. Prepare data reports for review by management staff. Abstract and code clinical data. Attain follow-up data by reviewing medical records, physician notes and interviewing patients. Compile, organize and report medical case data. Perform case audits and reviews to ensure accuracy of data.
