Amazing good and friendly doctor

Excellent all around!

Everyone was polite, knowledgeable and explained what was happening and going happen( i.e. testing at visit, calls in-between, and day of procedure/s).

Dr. Whitford has been my ophthalmologist for over 15 years and I trust him explicitly with the health of my eyes. He is professional yet friendly, instilling confidence and trust.

Dr. Whitford and his staff are the best. I would recommend anybody going to see them.

This visit was fast and friendly. I was happy to have the issue resolved very quickly. I liked that I didn't have to wait in the waiting room or the medical room. Very pleased with everything. I went through all the steps to check to check in online with My Chart and ultimately it said it could not be completed and I had to check in at the desk. This has happened everytime I have tried to check in this way. Annoying that this does not work. It is a waste of time.

Check-in person was rude. She seemed annoyed with having to take time to check me in. Not a welcoming or pleasant experience.

Very personable. Made me feel at ease immediately. Listened closely to my description of symptoms, and then examined my eyes with a microscope Gave me three options for treatment and described them clearly so I could make the best choice. Also gave explicit advice to determine if any follow up is needed.

Dr. Steve is personable and efficient. He was able to correct the problem with a minimum of distress. One thing I did notice was that no one used gloves and I saw no hand washing before examination.

I was so nervous to have a chalazion removed. The doctor and nurse did it so quickly and kept me talking and calm throughout the process. I'm so thankful they were able to remove it!

Waited a half hour after my appointment time to see the Dr. He seemed VERY busy and I didn't doubt that, but I felt a bit rushed.

No waiting as I was seen at my scheduled appointment time. The assistant and Dr. Whitford were both thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant. The appointment moved right along and I was out in a half an hour or so.

My appointment with the doctor was interrupted by another staff member and my visit was cut short. I left with unanswered questions regarding having cataract surgery.

Everything went smoothly and i was able to schedule the surgery i need somewhat earlier than i expected.

There was an initial mix up. I was sent to surgery but then sent back to go to ophthalmology for my laser treatment. Well handled but confusing.

I like the online check-in procedure. Parking at the East Building tight. I was required to use street parking. Time and mobility did not make the issue problematic for me, but could likely be for others.

More medical professionals should be like Dr. Whitford! He is genuinely friendly and truly listens to what I say. He is efficient but never appears rushed.

The doctor, Dr. Whitford, excellent. His nursing and tech staff, excellent. Receptionist, at the end of my visit, not so much. She did not listen to me or give any credence to what I was telling her about that I could not be scheduled sooner than two months. And she said, oh, I've never heard of such a thing. And she never even asked anybody else if I was crazy or if I knew what I was talking about, which I did. But like I say, I've been coming there for years. Everybody is tremendous, skill, compassion. She just needs to realize that she should give a little more consideration to what the patient is saying that they might, you know, evidently know a little more than she did. Okay, thank you. My experience was good because I didn't know what to expect going into this appointment. Everyone seemed to be very thorough of what they were doing

Dr Whitfield had a resident working with him and she did my exam. She was very well informed and I enjoyed talking to her about my eyes.

Dr. Whitford has been my eye doctor for many years, and since I have developed some serious issues, I am very happy to be under his care.

The only thing I wanted to mention is that I had a lot of drops in my eyes when I went outside. Of course, I couldn't see. And then I realized nobody gave me the little glasses that you're supposed to have. When you go out, I went back in and I found somebody to give me glasses and that was fine. So it's not a big deal. It would have been nice if I had had them when I first went out. That's all. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you.

Dr. Whitford's assistants are very pushy. They need to wait for his diagnosis and expertise before making judgements and their own diagnosis of what people need. FOR they kept trying to push me back into glasses. DR Whitford said my test results said it was not needed at this time.

Had to sit on the table next to chair because all chairs were taken. Maybe, don't schedule appointments so close to together because got in room late for a 9:30 appointment but didn't see doctor until almost 10:30.

Having trouble with my vision being blurry after a laser treatment.talked to a technician who said to read the paper that was provided but no instructions were given to me. Told me that the blurry vision will.probaby go away.
