We covered a lot of things in the time we had. I was very pleased with Dr. Nelson's attention to things I was concerned about.

Dr Nelson asked about past issues Iris has dealt with as well as the current issue and I appreciated that.

I appreciate Dr. Nelson's encouragement for how I care for my health and for helping me with the thyroid issues. I struggle because my subjective experience with feeling good does not fit the lab data on my thyroid level.

when i call for an appointment I get in fairly quick.

I arrived at 9:10 AM for a 9:30 appointment and was seen in the lab for an unscheduled test well before 9:30. I had two very minor procedures done during my annual wellness exam. I could have returned for the tests and procedures, so it was convenient to do them at the same time. I appreciated that.

Dr. Nelson is very caring and knowledgeable. She takes time to listen.

Only problem with check in was that I came about 15 minutes early and then found out check in was 15 minutes before the appointment. Therefore I was waiting a long time.

Dr. Nelson and all the staff that helped me including the person at check in, check out, the person who reviewed my medical history and the person who drew my blood were kind and my appointment was timely. I was impressed by Dr. Nelson who took the time to carefully address all of my concerns and keep me up to date on my vaccines. I appreciated the care I received all around!

Dr. Nelson was attentive and a great listener. I was looking for a primary care physician in Decorah and she fits the bill.

Dr. Nelson is knowledgeable, competent and kind. She is always receptive to questions and answers them thoroughly and completely. I am so fortunate to have her as my primary care provider.

Appointment had to be rescheduled to 2 weeks later because of education for Dr. Nelson. Too bad those sessions take priority over welfare of patients. Not Dr. Nelson's fault. It's the system.

It was the first time I saw Dr. Nelson and she is just amazing. Took time to visit with me and listen about my concerns/answer questions. She was very thorough with my exam and review of lab results. So very professional, caring and respectful. So glad she is my new PCP and that I have a female PCP who really listens to me. All the staff were just so caring and awesome too.

Dr. Nelson has always listened and been amazing with my care. I have went through a lot of doctors and non compare.

I had assumed that I had bronchitis or pneumonia. I was glad for the assurance that it was neither and that it would go away. The prescribed cough medicine made for a good night's sleep.

We're running behind on schedule more than 1/2 hour.

The doctor and nurse were extremely kind re my fears of a pap smear.

Staff was great. I came in for an MRI and was not feeling well at all. Dr Nelson squeezed me in. I cannot thank everyone who helped me out!

My provider reminded me that I had to update my living will and power of attorney. I am glad she did and I didn't realize that both of those forms were outdated. She is a fantastic provider and really care about you.

When asked the anxiety questions all my answers were high and this was not addressed. Also my blood pressure was high both times it was taken and the nurse simply left the room and this was not addressed. This left me feeling as though my well being was not a concern.

I'm very lucky- I love all of the providers that I have seen in the Decorah Clinic.

I have always had a positive experience with Dr. Nelson. She comes into the exam room with a friendly presence and always appears to have reviewed my history before the appointment. She listens to concerns and finds solutions/tests for any issues. She is never dismissive. I do not feel rushed during my time with her and at the end of the appointment she will ask "is there anything else you want to talk with me about?" This gives me the opportunity to bring up anything that might be on my mind. When I am back at home, I feel confident that I can call back with any additional questions that I may have forgotten. I have recommended her to other people and will continue to do. so.

Dr. Nelson takes the time and listens to everything you say and makes you feel like you're the only patient she has, when you know how busy she is with so many other patients. Quality care.

Gundersen Clinic Decorah has the best providers in the area. They could use at least two more doctors to meet demand.

This was my first visit to this facility and the first time seeing Dr. Nelson. I'm very impressed with everyone I met from the receptionists, to the medical assistant, the physician, and lab. Tech. All were kind, friendly, and put me at ease. Dr. Nelson was more thorough than any other new physician that I can remember.

It was a good experience. Dr. Nelson took time to listen attentively to me. She engaged me in the treatment planning process and was encouraging that I can reach my short term goals.

Dr. Nelson and her staff are outstanding in their care for me. Every time I go I feel like a real person and not a number. In this busy world we live in it's great to have people who are calm, kind and smart in my corner!!!

Nurse assigned to me needs to treat patients with more respect and kindness; she makes me as a patient feel like an inconvenience. There's no small talk or smiling either-makes it very uncomfortable.
